More Concrete Jobs is an independent site for people who own concrete companies and want a fuller pour calendar without signing a contract to find out whether the marketing works.
Who writes it
Steve Meitler is the editor. He has spent the last several years running growth campaigns for local service businesses, concrete contractors among them, and has watched plenty of owners get pitched on rankings by people who could not tell a broom finish from a salt finish. The fix is not better pitches. It is numbers you can check yourself.
Where the benchmark numbers come from
The benchmark report is built from public Google Business Profile listings. We run Google Maps searches for concrete contractors in every US state, keep the public fields on each listing (review count, star rating, website link, hours, primary category, location), remove duplicates by Google place ID, and compute the statistics you see. Nothing comes from behind a login and no personal data is stored, so no reviewer names, no phone records, no customer information.
The dataset holds 80,873 listings across 51 states and is refreshed monthly. It is a wide net, catching decorative specialists, foundation crews and one-truck flatwork outfits in the same pool. Read every figure as accurate to within a point or two, not to the decimal.
Editorial rules
- No pay-to-play. Nobody buys a mention, a recommendation, or placement on this site, and there are no affiliate links to tools.
- Every number is sourced, either to our own dataset or to a primary source such as Google's published documentation. Where a guide gives an opinion, it says so.
- Guides are written for an owner who is standing on a form board with a phone in his pocket. If a step cannot be done by a busy owner in a truck, or handed to an office manager in ten minutes, it does not go in.
- Cost per lead figures are ranges from campaigns we have run, not promises. Your market will differ.
- Guides get updated when the platforms change, and the date on the page changes with them.
How the free trial works
This site is paid for by the marketing work we do for concrete companies. Every service is offered as a free 14-day trial because a contractor should watch the phone ring before anyone takes a dollar from him. You text or call, tell us which service you want to try, and we set it up in your own accounts, usually within 48 hours of a 20-minute setup call. It runs for two weeks. No card is on file, nothing renews, and nothing is charged during the trial. At the end you keep it at the monthly price we quoted before it started, swap to a different service, or stop and keep whatever we built.
Text or call (385) 832-6175, or use the free trial page. Most questions are already answered on the FAQ.
