Appointment setting for a concrete company
Residential work keeps a concrete crew busy in July. Commercial and repeat accounts keep it busy in a bad spring. That work does not arrive through search, because the people buying it already have somebody, and the only way in is to be on the phone the week their somebody lets them down.
The list is not hard to build. Property management companies, HOA boards, general contractors doing ground-up, municipalities running sidewalk and ADA ramp programs, storage facilities, churches, apartment complexes with cracked walkways and real liability exposure. Every one of them has a slab problem they have been deferring for two budget cycles.
The pitch is not a pitch, it is a free walk. Offer to walk the property and mark every trip hazard and spalled section, then hand over a written scope with a number on it. Property managers say yes to that because a documented hazard list is something they need in a file anyway.
Expect three to six booked walks per hundred connected dials in this trade. One HOA sidewalk program pays for a year of calling, which is why the math survives a low hit rate.
